In the film, Hellboy struggles with his own existential crisis while preventing a resurrected sorceress from conquering the world. The film draws inspiration from the comic books Darkness Calls, The Wild Hunt, The Storm and the Fury, and Hellboy in Mexico. In total, there are 125 different available Heroes with one pending release, spread out across 14 factions.
These high-grade skins are very rare reward items and are not purchasable with nanodust. Mythic skins do not change any skills, but offer the best stat bonuses. Legendary skins are special in that they replace the one of the hero's active abilities with an alternate version.
Mythic skins are the exception, as they all have 6 upgrade levels. There are however a select few Plus skins, independent of quality, that allows for 6 levels of upgrades, with consquently higher stat boosts. By default, skins have three levels of upgrades that can be bought using a combination of Bucks and Skin tokens. Each quality of skin has increasingly pronounced visual differences, from basic color changes to unique outfits and accessories. Skins are classified as Common, Rare, Legendary or Mythic. They can also be obtained from the vault skin crate which is opened by a vault skin tokens which are very rare rewards from events, usually for the top ten in the rankings. Event skins are limited-time rare skins that appear during events, and can be obtained from the event skin crates. Most can also be bought with skin nanodust which is obtained from receiving skin duplicates. Skins are mainly obtained from Skin Crates using skin tokens which are found as rewards or in the stores. These skins give minor boosts to the Hero's stats, but requires the Hero to be level 40 or higher in order to be equipped. Each active skill has a cooldown between each use - it recharges during the battle but the Hero's Bronze skill also fills up upon damaging an enemy target with their weapon. Active skills are used in battle by simply tapping the icon though some may require the player to center the aiming reticle on a specific target. They can provide a multitude of battle effects, from stunning, Area of Effect Damage, healing other heroes and even reviving. Each skill is unlocked by ranking up your hero. The first two unlocked are active, and the following three are passive. Ruby gear is very rare and can be obtained from events, and requires hero level 95 to equip, which was also opened up in the update.Įach hero has access to up to 5 skills. Ranking up to Bronze only needs one set of gear to progress, while Silver has three, Gold requires four, and Platinum and Ruby with 6.
