Piersanti admits that though great attention was paid to the dance ensembles and the everyday clothes worn by the cast, the most difficult costumes to create were those that appear during one of the final scenes. “ Sibylle was a GDR or West German fashion and culture magazine which many called ‘a socialist version of Vogue,’ when it was popular in the ’70s,” she says. For the sensationally chic clothing, Piersanti was influenced by the many issues of the old magazine Sibylle she sourced from German eBay.
